C.A.T. Member Wins the Paul Kirk Silver Buckle

Each year the Manzanita Agility Club & The Australian Shepherd Club of Southern California presents the Paul Kirk Silver Buckle.  These beautiful belt buckles are awarded in honor of an agility icon, Professor Paul Kirk.  Paul, now in his eighties and still running his lightening fast Aussies, has been an inspiration to many over the years; a true ambassador to the sport.  The annual Paul Kirk Silver Buckle Series consists for at least eight NADAC and ASCA trials and concludes with the NADAC trail held in Pearblossom, CA Memorial Day Weekend.   On this weekend a beautiful silver buckle is awarded to the high series scoring Novice, Open, Elite, and Veteran team.  This year one of our club members, Karen Birdsong and her Australian Shepherd TJ (Windswept’s Trail of Joy) won the Novice buckle.
